  • For businesses considering locating in the State of Delaware, financial assistance may be provided in the form of low interest loans, grants, or other creative instruments to support the attraction of businesses that pay sustainable wages.

  • Designed to strengthen the states location for Headquarter operations. The Tax Reduction benefit equals a 20 percent reduction in taxes owed for each new Delaware employee.
  • Targeted industries locating in a targeted area can apply for: 1) 100% reduction the first five years.  2) 90% reduction beginning in the sixth year. 3) 80% the seventh year until the fifteenth and final year with a 5% reduction.
  • The Delaware Economic Development Authority (DEDA) provides statewide financial assistance to new or expanding businesses, by issuing tax-exempt bonds and lending the proceeds of such bonds to these assisted persons. Tax exempt bonds bear lower interest rates than comparable taxable bonds, because the interest paid to bond holders is exempt from federal and Delaware income taxes.
